# 06-17 Define points on roadmap
Today I set up a time plan for the next few months. It effectively consists of developing noise reduction strategies, improving the power-level curve fit, trilaterating positions and ultimately some nice-to-haves. I usually took the amount of time I expected to need for a task and doubled it. The time-plan up until now was very accurate, aside from a large misjudgement in time consumption for noise reduction. In retrospect, the waypoints I set would have been very ambitious had it not been for the lockdown, since it let me dedicate most of my time to development. By alotting very comfortable time margins, I hope that the schedule is more realistic in a non-lockdown environment.
I will conclude my noise reduction attempts by the end of August, Then in September I improve the function that maps power to distance based on testing environments and trilaterate positions. Thus all main goals of the project will be covered by late September, leaving me with all of October to introduce nice-to-haves such as a GUI (not sure yet about the details) and making the API easier to use for IoT applications. Then in November I have time to write reports and make presentations etc.
